Step 3: Season the Beef
Stir in the tomato paste and spices (smoked paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper).
Mix well and let the beef simmer for 3–4 minutes to absorb the flavors. If it looks dry, add a splash of water or beef broth.
Step 4: Warm the Tortillas
While the beef simmers, warm the tortillas:
- Heat them in a dry skillet for 20–30 seconds per side, or
- Wrap them in foil and warm them in a 180°C (350°F) oven for about 10 minutes
Step 5: Assemble the Wraps
Lay a warm tortilla on a flat surface.
Add a generous spoonful of seasoned ground beef in the center.
Top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole.
Add hot sauce if desired and garnish with fresh cilantro.
Step 6: Fold and Serve
Fold the bottom of the tortilla over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll it up tightly.
Serve immediately while warm. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
