Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
Before you start cooking, prepare all your ingredients. Chop the onion and garlic, wash and shred the lettuce, dice the tomatoes, and grate the cheese. Having everything ready will make the process faster and more enjoyable.
Step 2: Cook the Ground Beef
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3–4 minutes.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds, until fragrant.
Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 7–8 minutes.
Drain any excess fat if necessary.
