If using an egg, beat it first and mix it into the liquid before combining.
Stir until the batter is smooth but still slightly lumpy—this helps create air pockets for extra crispiness.
Step 3: Coat the Food
Dip your chosen ingredients (chicken, fish, or vegetables) into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated.
Allow excess batter to drip off slightly for a lighter, crispier finish.
Step 4: Fry to Perfection
- Heat oil to 350–375°F (175–190°C)
- Carefully place coated items into the oil
- Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding
- Cook for 3–5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy
Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
